Happy 2016

January 10, 2016

Fred Herbst

Happy 2016 everyone! As a busy 2015 closed I started planning another busy year to come. New work and ideas are brewing in the studio, trips are being planned, and a new semester of teaching ceramics, design, and art history is quickly approaching. A very exciting development from 2015 was that I was named to the Board of Directors of the Studio Potter journal. We have been hard at work building a stronger future for the organization and journal. Stay tuned for some events and ways to help this critically important venue for writing on ceramics and craft.

2016 started with a exhibition titled ” Variations”, showing my work along with that of Rick Love and Rob Beishline at Lane Community College in Eugene, Oregon. We were the jurors for last year’s League for Innovation National art exhibition hosted by LCC. The show runs from Jan. 4th to Feb. 11th.
